This morning, Lovelace Women’s Hospital hosted a celebration to launch a three-year patient safety training program called M.O.R.E. OB (Managing Obstetrical Risk Effectively). M.O.R.E. OB provides guidelines and programs to help increase communication and trust between all of our providers and staff, with the end goal being better patient safety. The program will also involve Lovelace Westside Hospital, Lovelace Medical Group and our community providers in a system-wide effort to further improve upon Lovelace’s already excellent OB services.

Heart Hospital at New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center was awarded the Award of Merit at the NAIOP 2016 Awards of Excellence last night. The hospital was nominated under the renovation/remodel category for the Hartman+Majewski Design Group’s work on the new hybrid room, which opened in February, 2016. Congratulations!

Lovelace Health System raised 1,601 lbs of food through December 1 in a food drive for Rio Grande Food Project, bringing this year’s total to 2,451 lbs! Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital made a mascot out of their food bin named Wishbone Jones, which helped them raise 180 lbs of food. Thank you to all of our employees who donated food to this drive!

Today, New Mexico Donor Services allowed us to dedicate a rose on their float for the upcoming Rose Parade. Lovelace Medical Center has assisted in the donation of five organ transplants, saving 15 lives in New Mexico. Troy Greer, CEO of Lovelace Medical Center, honored the families and caregivers who helped give the gift of life by dedicating a rose that will appear on the float on January 2. Thank you all of the families and caregivers who make the gift of life possible!

We recently hosted the 46th Annual Lovelace Tree Lighting event at Lovelace Medical Center. Each year, we mark the start of the holiday season by lighting the tree on the roof of Lovelace Medical Center. It is a wonderful holiday tradition we look forward to each year!
